What we collect

We keep this simple, because it is simple. When you visit this site, our analytics use cookies to help us understand, in aggregate, which pages people find useful. When you choose to share contact details with us, through a form, a call, or an email, we keep them so that we can respond to you and care for your family.

Anything you send us through a form on this site is stored in the system we use to keep track of the families we are helping, which is provided by Pipeline CRM. If you arrived here from an advertisement or an email we sent, a small cookie remembers which one for thirty days, so that we know which of our efforts to reach people are actually helping. It holds nothing about you personally.

What we never do

We never sell your information, to anyone, for any reason. We do not share it except with the service providers who help us operate this site and communicate with you, and with authorities when the law requires it.

Condolences and photographs

We do not ask for your email address when you leave a condolence on a memorial page. You may give your name, or leave it blank and appear simply as “A Friend.” Nothing you share puts you on a mailing list.

Someone on our staff reads every condolence and looks at every photograph before it appears, so that nothing reaches a grieving family unseen. Photographs often carry hidden location data recording where they were taken. We strip that out of every photograph we display, so a picture taken at home does not carry that address with it.

Keeping memorial pages free of spam

Anyone may leave a condolence or share a photograph, which means those pages need protecting from automated spam. We use a Cloudflare service called Turnstile to tell a person apart from a script. It works quietly in the background: there is nothing to click and no puzzle to solve.

To do that, Cloudflare looks at a few technical details your browser sends automatically. Those are your IP address, your TLS fingerprint, your browser's user-agent, and an identifier for the page you are visiting. Cloudflare states that these signals are used solely to detect and block bots, not to identify, profile, or target anyone, and that it cannot directly identify an individual from them. Their handling of this information is governed by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will honor the request wherever the law allows. Most browsers also let you decline or clear cookies whenever you wish.
