1961-2020
Martha “Marti” (with an ‘i’) Megan Sharp Dietrich, 59, of Johnstown (formerly of Berthoud), Colorado, passed away on March 14, 2020.
Marti was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico in January of 1961. She graduated from Las Cruces High School and continued on to receive her Bachelor of Business Administration from Mesa State College in 1993. Marti was happily married to her adoring husband, Larry Dietrich, in February of 1985. She worked in the field of marketing and insurance for many years. However, Marti’s true calling was working in the field of equine therapy. She was a born horse whisperer who connected to the spiritual power of healing through horses and the equine community. Her love of animals and her pursuit of higher wisdom was only a small part of what made her our beautiful sister.
Marti is survived by her son, Philip “Jack” C. Dietrich; her sisters, Jamie Sharp, Robin Sharp, Nicola Sharp, and Carol Lorenz; seven nieces and nephews; her beloved animal family, Azul, Hawkeye, Talo, and Arrow; and many other family and friends. Marti is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Larry C. Dietrich; her mother Margaret “Peggy” Graber Sharp Ambrose; her father, William Guy Sharp; and her stepfather, Philip S. Ambrose.
Services will be held at a time in the near future, which will be announced on the Natural Funeral website, when large groups will again be allowed to congregate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Spirit Heart Ranch, 589 County Road 7, Erie, Colorado 80516. The family of Marti Dietrich wishes to thank the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary of South Dakota, Pathways Hospice, and Loren Uecker of Radiant Passage.
