George Schwoegler

George Jay Schwoegler III, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and respiratory therapist, passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 54, after a brief but courageous journey with pancreatic cancer. Born in Arizona, George was adopted by his loving parents, Audrey and George. He worked in various roles in his early adulthood including roofing and cooking as a short line cook in restaurant kitchens. In California, he pursued a respiratory therapy license at El Camino College and obtained his bachelor’s degree in business finance at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Throughout his career, George demonstrated unwavering dedication and passion for his work and patients, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, where he provided brave and exceptional care to numerous patients.

Beyond his profession, George found solace and joy in the beauty of nature, spending much of his time hiking, camping, and exploring the great outdoors of California, Utah, Arizona, Washington, and Colorado. He regularly played racquetball, enjoyed working on old off-road trucks, and maintained a constant collection of tropical fish and coral. Above all, George cherished time with his family, always ready for an adventure, good food, and laughter.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Xiao Hong (Angie); his sisters, Tina and Susie; his biological mother, Ramona; his children, Jessica (Drew), Amanda (Victor), Jayson, and Alyssa; and his 6 cherished grandchildren, Benjamin, Adeline, Eleanor, Jack, Oliver, and Levi. George is preceded in death by his mother Audrey, his father George, and his brother Dennis. His memory will be forever cherished by all who knew him.

Following his wishes, there will be no funeral service for George. The family appreciates all the love and support during this challenging time.

George’s memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love of nature he passed on to his loved ones.
