In Loving Memory

Charlotte Fountain

1947 – 2022

Charlotte Fountain passed away at her home in Lafayette, Colorado Sunday, May 1, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Glendale, California in 1947, the daughter of the late William and Judith Anderson, Ms. Fountain became a nun in the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary for a decade and started her career as a teacher with a bachelor’s degree from Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles and a California Teaching Credential. After leaving the sisterhood she married, became a mother, and continued as an educator becoming certified as a Montessori teacher. Teaching reading was her passion and she touched the lives of many students. Ms. Fountain’s commitment to integrity, kindness and open heartedness made her a remarkable teacher, a friend to many, and a devoted mother to her daughters, Jill and Claire Fountain. She will be missed by them, her brother and sister, nephews and friends. A memorial service celebrating her life will be announced at a later date.
