Carolyn Herzberger
Carolyn loved and honored the Earth and all its creatures; Nature was her sanctuary.
She believed that one person with determination and a passion for her cause can make the world a better place.
Carolyn loved to learn and discuss ideas.
She was an advocate of health and fitness. When a mishap set her back, her quest was to regain her health.
Being with her family was her greatest joy.
Carolyn graduated from Colorado State College (now UNC) with a degree in English and a lifetime teaching certificate. She taught in Colorado public schools.
She was an employee of Colorado State Hospital for over 20 years. She started as a teacher, then moved into administration as the public information officer and patient advocate.
Carolyn was a community activist, working to protect nature and the environment.
She was preceded back to Spirit by her husband Ernie, granddaughter Kali (Teyalora), and canine buddies Max, Buck and Ozzy.
Surviving family includes son Rob Herzberger and spouse Martin Moore, daughter Sherri Albern and spouse Robert Albern, and many other loving family members and friends.
